MAKING OF MASEPOLREX25

RLC Consult participated in the preparation and delivery of the full scale exercise MASEPOLREX25 organised in Mombasa, Kenya on 7-11 July 2025 in collaboration with Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA) and the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC).

Preparation and delivery of oil spill exercise and training including IMO level 1, 2 and 3, SCAT and aerial surveillance training

Assistance to affected and responsible parties in compliance with international standards for liability and compensation.

Assistance in the development of equipment and resoure strategy, including needs assessment (as per the provisions of the OSCP and regulator's requirements), strategic positinoning and logistics and maintenance needs. 

Incident Management

Assistance at the Command Post, assisting the Incident Management Team to supervise the overall response operations, in accordance with industry best practices.

About me

MSc Engineering in the Coastal Environment from the University of Southampton, my work experience includes 15+ years employment with key players in the field of marine and coastal conservation, oil spill preparedness and response and incident management, including OSRL, ITOPF, IPIECA, IMO, UNEP TotalEnergies, North Oil Company (NOC) and OTRA. My ambition is to be at the confluence between the private sector and public interests, to promote best practices and foster cooperations between the industry, the regulators and practitionners.
